The Environmental Working Group specializes in providing useful resources (like Skin Deep and the Shoppers' Guide to Pesticides in Produce) to consumers while simultaneously pushing for national policy change.

By using this amazing resource, consumers are able to intelligently purchase products that are healthy for themselves and the planet.  "Skin Deep" is a database with virtually every cosmetic and skincare product on the market, whereby the EWG rates and reports on all hazardous and safety criteria within each brand.  At Olive, we utilize this information to carefully select our skincare and cosmetic lines, which is why we have chosen Miessence, Trillium, and Purple Prairie, all ranking near the top in each category for being least hazardous and safest on the market.  In order to keep this wonderful resource around for all of us to use, it's important to donate to EWG to support their efforts.  That's why in June Olive donated 1% of its sales to this organization and will do so again in the future.
