We offer a wide range of high quality designer baby clothing for ages 0-7 years in many gorgeous colours and styles. At Bamboo Baby we use organic bamboo & organic cotton in our baby clothes. Bamboo has an amazing softness and hypo-allergic properties that make it ideal for babies delicate skin. It is also very absorbent and great for keeping babies warm when it is cold and cool when it is warm. Sophie and I are both passionate about the properties and sustainability of bamboo. Bamboo is a grass and it grows quickly without the need for pesticides and water- making it a more eco friendly alternative to conventional cotton. It is also great for reducing environmental damage including soil erosion and global warming. OUR COMMITMENTBamboo is the most sustainable all-natural plant fibre on earth with amazing silky softness! Bamboo fabric is organic, sustainable and super eco-friendly whilst being gorgeously soft. Feeling is believing! WHY BAMBOO?
Naturally Organic - bamboo is grown without pesticides or fertilisers, unlike conventional cotton which uses 25% of all the worlds pesticides for only 10% of the argricultural land mass. Our bamboo canes are organically sourced and our bamboo yarn is Oeko-Tex 100 certified. Our organic cotton is certified by GOTS. Sustainable - Moso bamboo is one of the worlds fastest growing plants, growing up to a metre in a day. Bamboo is a grass, so once cut it will regenerate quickly without the need for replanting (in the same way as your garden lawn). It grows very densely and so the yield per acre is excellent in comparison to cotton. Eco-friendly - one of the most positive things about bamboo is that it absorbs 35% more carbon dioxide than equivalent stands of trees. More bamboo would help to cut the globally rising levels of carbon dioxide and help in the fight against global warming. Absorbent - bamboo absorbs up to 60% more water than cotton. This makes it an excellent choice for towels and bathrobes. Breathable - the porous nature of the fibre makes it breathable and extremely comfortable against the skin. Thermo-regulating - keeps the wearer warm in cool weather. Hypoallergenic - bamboo's organic and natural properties make it non-irritating so perfect used in baby wear for babies extra sensitive skin. |
