Our PhilosophyAt Olive, we believe you can make a tremendous difference in the world without having to sacrifice quality, style or taste. ![]() We’re making a conscious effort to reduce the wear and tear on Earth, and understand that big change can happen when people do little things. If you’re willing to slightly alter what you eat and what you wear, we’re confident it will snowball on a global scale. Our sustainable and non-exploitative practices take into consideration all parts of the process, from raw materials and manufacturing ethics to end–of–life use. All Olive products, design and business decisions are driven by a desire to be environmentally and socially responsible. This triple–bottom–line philosophy—profit, people and planet—guides everything from your in–store experience to our charitable contributions. Our StoreOlive is the brainchild of Grafton–native, Michael Katarincic, a former attorney, who felt strongly about making changes in his community and his own lifestyle. Together with General Manager, David Neubert, team Olive strives to bring eco-friendly alternatives in apparel, personal care and home goods into the mainstream marketplace. ![]() Likewise, the materials used to build-out the store are as eco-friendly as possible. All counters and cabinets are resin and formaldehyde free. The wood is cut from sustainably-managed forests. The carpeting and furniture is recycled. The flooring is cork-based. The hangars are bamboo and the hang-tags are tied with hemp twine and printed with soy ink on recycled paper. Energy efficient lighting is also used and everything is crafted with its impact on the planet being considered. With a little creativity and patience, you can find an eco-friendly alternative to just about any type of building supply that you can think of. Our MissionA major focus at Olive remains educating our consumers and giving back to the community. We host numerous events throughout the year designed to inform our cutsomers of healthy living solutions and eco-friendly purchasing alternatives.
