Our Philosophy
At Olive, we believe you can make a tremendous difference in the world without having to sacrifice quality, style or taste.
We’re making a conscious effort to reduce the wear and tear on Earth, and understand that big change can happen when people do little things. If you’re willing to slightly alter what you eat and what you wear, we’re confident it will snowball on a global scale.
Our sustainable practices take into consideration all parts of the process, from raw materials and manufacturing ethics to end–of–life use. All Olive products, design and business decisions are driven by a desire to be environmentally and socially responsible.
When you welcome organic into your life, you’re joining a forward–thinking community that promises to continue growing stronger every day.
Our Store
Olive is the brainchild of Grafton–native, Michael Katarincic, a former attorney, who felt strongly about making changes in his community and his own lifestyle. Together with General Manager, David Neubert, team Olive strives to bring eco-friendly alternatives in apparel, personal care and home goods into the mainstream marketplace.
A major focus at Olive remains its mission of giving back to the community and the environment. For example, each month the store gives 1% of its gross sales to a different local charity. This is a list of organizations which Olive has donated to:
- Schlitz Audubon Nature Center - http://www.sanc.org/
- Urban Ecology Center of Milwaukee - http://www.urbanecologycenter.org/
- Toys for Tots - http://www.toysfortots.org/
- Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee - http://www.hungertaskforce.org
